HERNDON ? The North Star High School wrestling team went 3-2 and finished third out of eight teams at the Line Mountain dual meet tournament on Saturday.

The Cougars earned wins over Great Valley 47-26, South Williamsport 54-24 and Canton 46-33. They lost to Lewisburg 40-35 and Mount Union 41-29.

Tayte Mostoller, Tevin Mostoller and Levi Albright each finished 5-0 while Tony Strasiser turned in a 4-1 record to lead the team.

SOMERSET ? Forest Hills avenged an earlier loss to Somerset to swipe the championship of the 10th annual Jerry Smith Basketball Tournament and Skills Challenge held on Saturday.

The Rangers used tough defense and solid rebounding to take away a 46-32 win against the host Golden Eagles.
?
Dallas McClintock led the Rangers with 13 points. Somerset was led by Braxton Meehleib?s 11 points and Mike Ream?s seven rebounds.
?
Ligonier Valley defeated Conemaugh Valley for the consolation prize.
