The Calamba hotshot Alcano defeated Hamzah Al Saeed of Kuwait, 9-5, in Group L, the Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro ace Lining routed Liu Cheng Cheih of Chinese-Taipei, 9-4, in Group P, while the Marinduque star De Luna crushed Abdulwahed Jamil Hussain of UAE, 9-4, in Group H.
Sharing the limelight is overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Allan Cuartero from Surigao del Sur, who dealt Mohmad Al Sofi of Syria, 9-5, in Group L.
Lee Vann ?The Slayer? Corteza, Roberto ?Pinoy Superman? Gomez, Antonio ?Ga-Ga? Gabica, Israel ?Amay? Rota, Raymund Faraon, Venancio Tanio, Francisco Felicilda, Joven Alba and Caneda Villamor won their respective matches in the loser?s brackets to stay alive in this US$ 250,000 total pot prize tournament offering a US$ 36,000 top purse.

The final will be a race to 13, alternate break.
